St. Mary's in Collingwood raises $9722 with Jump Rope for Heart

It is a well-known tradition for schools to participate in the annual Jump Rope for Heart event, and this year was no different. Each year, over 4,000 schools across Canada get active by skipping rope while fundraising for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

This year at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Collingwood, Mrs. Anstey’s class took on the task of organizing and promoting the event at the school, and what a job they did! On May 20th, the students at SMC got outside and jumped their way to an amazing feat. The school surpassed expectations and collected a whopping $9,722.80 in donations with all money going directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The amazing achievement puts St. Mary’s as one of the Top 10 fundraising schools in the province of Ontario.

A special thank you goes out to the Baric Family and Maddison Donnelly, a Grade 5 student, for being the school’s top fundraisers.

This is an amazing achievement and you should all be very proud!
