26 Students Graduate from the SWAC Program

The School Within a College (SWAC) program is one of the many amazing opportunities that our high school students have. The program allows students, aged 17-21, to graduate from high school, when other circumstances or obstacles may have dictated otherwise. Individuals take a dual credit, one common high school course as a class, and will complete their remaining credits through independent learning, on-line courses, credit recovery or co-operative education at a Georgian College campus.

This year, we are pleased to congratulate 26 students who have received their Ontario Secondary School Diploma through the SWAC program. The graduation ceremony was held on June 15 at Georgian College in Barrie, where the students received their diplomas and celebrated with friends, family and staff.

These students have overcome difficulty and found the determination to finish their education. This program has provided them with a solid foundation for a bright future, and whichever path they choose next, they have the tools and talent to succeed.

We would like to congratulate all of this year’s graduates, and wish you all the best in your future endeavours. We would also like to thank all of the staff who have worked endlessly to make the SWAC program a huge success.
