Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.
This week we are celebrating Kristen McDade, the
principal at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School. Kristen was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Kristen has been a great addition to our team, she is a dedicated, compassionate principal, who has gone above and beyond her duties. Her contributions to our school have been invaluable and we are grateful for her dedication and hard work. Treating her staff and students with the utmost respect and honesty. She has a great connection with the students who respond to her very well. We are lucky to have her as a leader, a colleague, and a friend.”
This week we are also celebrating Danielle Hill, an office administrator at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School. Danielle was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Danielle is a dedicated hard worker in the office. She makes sure all students get nutritious snacks when they are hungry. She takes care of their bumps and bruises from playing at recess time. She is a big support for our principal and all our other staff. Danielle always comes to work with a smile. She is a very important part of our team at SPE.”
Last but not least, this week we are celebrating Nicole
Hillier, a teacher at St. Monica’s Catholic School. Nicole was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Nicole works endlessly to ensure that every student and every class has a fun and meaningful experience in the learning commons. She coordinates everyone's STEM activities and goes out of her way to ensure each class/grade has personalized centre activities with the resources she has. Recently, she has dedicated a lot of her personal time to organizing a book fair for our school. Nicole shows up every day with a smile on her face and always makes sure students feel welcomed both in the learning commons, and the school community.”
We would like to thank Kristen, Danielle, and Nicole for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
