Celebrating Staff LogoEvery week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.

This week we are celebrating Kristina Kiesler, an Kristina Kiesler educational assistant at St. John Paul II Catholic School. Kristina was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“Kristina is a very dedicated educational assistant who works hard every day to ensure that the children and teacher in her assigned classroom have everything that they need. She goes above and beyond the requirements of her job in showing care to the children in her class and all children in the school. Many of the students whom she has worked with in the past continue to reach out to her and visit with her as a safe person to share their thoughts and concerns. Beyond the classroom Kristina works hard to make the school a community, often planning events for staff and helping to build a school community. Her dedication to every person in the school does not go unnoticed.”

Darlene MeglioThis week we are also celebrating Darlene Meglio, a special education resource teacher at St. Marie of the Incarnation Catholic School. Darlene was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“In the realm of education, there exists a remarkable teacher whose dedication and genuine care extend beyond the boundaries of a traditional classroom. This teacher possesses a special calling—to support and nurture the unique needs of her students with special needs. With unwavering commitment, she creates a safe and inclusive environment where every student and educator feels seen, heard, and valued.”

We would like to thank Kristina and Darlene for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
