Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.
This week we are celebrating Karen French,
an educational assistant (EA) at Holy Cross Catholic School. Karen was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Karen is an amazing EA who works so hard for her students. She is dedicated to her job and her students and goes out of her way to support the teacher and the entire class. Karen goes out of her way to build relationships with her students which is why her students adore her so much. She is amazing and is an incredible addition to any classroom!”
This week we are also celebrating Christine Trueman and Michelle DaCosta, teachers at St. Marie of the Incarnation Catholic School. Christine and Michelle were nominated by a parent who said:
“I would like to recognize two staff members at St Marie of the Incarnation school - Mrs. Trueman and Mrs. DaCosta.
We have been lucky enough to have Mrs. Trueman and Mrs. DaCosta involved in our children's education for several years - first with our daughter, and now with our son. They have consistently gone above and beyond to create a warm, engaging, and structured learning environment, and both of my children have thrived in their classrooms. They have instilled a love of learning in our kids, given them a strong foundation for literacy, and made their introduction to school overwhelmingly positive. We are beyond grateful!”
Finally, we are celebrating our staff at Facilities Services. The team was nominated by a colleague who said:
“For the awesome job that they all do fixing and delegating.”
We would like to thank Karen, Christine, Michelle and the team at Facilities Services for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
