National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women
Posted on 12/04/2020

On December 6, flags at all buildings at the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board will be at half-mast to commemorate National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

Let us remember the fourteen female engineering students at l'École Polytechnique de Montréal who were murdered on this day in 1989 by an act of gender-based violence.

Working together we can help prevent and address gender-based violence by remembering and learning from our past, listening to survivors, and speaking up against harmful behaviour.
