Faith, a special education student at St. Monica’s Catholic School in Barrie, is non-verbal, but this has not stopped her from joining the St. Monica’s basketball team.

When she heard the announcements for try-outs, she signed to her Educational Assistant (EA) that she wanted to join. She doesn’t just sit on the sidelines, in almost every game you can see Faith in the middle of the action.

Faith used to be very shy and self-conscious, joining the basketball team has made her a much more outgoing girl! Plus, she now has a whole team of new friends.
