The drama team at Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School can finally rest! Their hard work paid off last month with three outstanding performances of their musical “
Footloose.” Working since September, the group practiced at least twice a week, as well as throughout the week in their lunch periods.
“It was such a great opportunity to learn something new, and step out of my comfort zone for a change,” said student/actress Makiya. “It was a great opportunity to make new friends too. By the end of this process I felt like I had a second family. It was amazing to connect with so many wonderful people and form lifelong friendships. We also had an amazing and generous director Mrs. Anne O’Neill,” said student/actress Kat.
With a cast and crew of over 50 people, this musical became a great production. The two lead characters, Emily A. as Ariel, and Sullivan L. as Ren did a great job leading the rest of the cast to success. No musical is complete without wonderful songs and score, and this year’s pit band did a fantastic job under the leadership of Mr. Hilts.
