Grade 5 Student Organizes a Clothing Drive at Our Lady of Grace

Oliver, a highly motivated Grade 5 student at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School, in Angus, took it upon himself to organize a used clothing drive to help those in need.

He formulated a plan, created posters, notified families, delivered messages on the morning announcements, and collected and counted each piece of clothing that was donated.

During the week of April 11-15th, Oliver tracked each class’ donation amount and offered a ‘Pyjama/Movie Day” to the class who brought in the most clothing. All together, students in the Our Lady of Grace community brought in over 1,658 items of gently used clothing which will be donated to those in need.
