Earth Week Celebrations Finish with a Recyclable Art Show
Posted on 04/27/2016

Students at Monsignor J.E. Ronan Catholic School, in Beeton, really embraced Earth Week and took on the responsibility of caring for God’s gift to us: our planet.

To kick off Earth Week, students dressed in green, blue and white, and all pitched in for a spring clean up of the yard. Students were encouraged to bring litterless lunches to reduce the amount of garbage accumulated, and also ate lunch with the lights off, to save power.

On Earth Day, Friday, April 22, students took the Earth Day Pledge; promising to help make Earth a welcoming home for present and future generations. Throughout the week, students worked at home to create pieces of art out of recyclable material; so on Friday, the school held a recyclable art show in the library!

The Lord God then took the man and settled him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate and care for it.”   Genesis 2:15
