Recognizing Our Board Office Staff

Recognizing Our Board Office Staff
Posted on 05/03/2022

The theme for Catholic Education Week 2022, Rebuild, Restore, Renew Together, reminds us that publicly funded Catholic education is a call to service.  Regardless of our position or our responsibilities, it is a calling to bring the message of Jesus Christ into the lives of those who we are privileged to serve in the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board.

There will be many opportunities this year as we celebrate Catholic Education Week in person, as well as virtually, to recognize the many blessings that the gift of Catholic education affords each of us. During this week, it is fitting to express my thanks and gratitude to the people who work collaboratively and collectively to provide our staff and students with a strong, vibrant workplace and faith-based education in a safe and caring environment.

Each day this week, I am honoured to express my appreciation in the form of “thanks” to all those who play an integral role in the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board family.

Central office staff are an integral part of our operations. Your dedication to each of your roles, whether it be in supporting our facilities, central business operations or providing academic support to schools, is integral to the growth and success of Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board.

Behind the scenes central staff have managed to juggle more responsibilities, initiatives and projects than ever, in an environment that has presented health and safety challenges throughout the year. Under pressure, you have provided quality and timely service to each and every school on a daily basis. The concerted efforts of our central staff fosters a faith-filled environment where students are nurtured and encouraged to become who they are meant to be spiritually, academically, physically and social-emotionally as contributing members of our global society. Thank you for contributing to our exceptional working and learning experience at Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board.

Let us continue to “rebuild, restore and renew SMCDSB together.” God bless you for the work you do every day. It is such an honour to be on this journey with each of you.

 Yours in Faith,

Frances Bagley

Director of Education
