Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student, or colleague.
This week we are celebrating a large number of our virtual teachers and Norma Zorzi.

outstanding job in this unusual time. Parents had many wonderful things to say about this group of educators and their individual nominations are linked

Norma is a teacher at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School. She was nominated by a parent who said:
"
Mme. Zorzi has taught my son french for the last four years since we moved to Barrie. She has been a constant support for my son. With his challenges in developing reading and writing skills as a primary student, she has been able to instill a love for learning french in my son. He has had a passion for french for life. In addition, she keeps the Arts alive at St. Mike's by always organizing, directing, and producing theatrical annual shows, by initiating outside organizations to provide musical programs and continuing practices when done, and by facilitating opportunities for performances for the community outside of the school. Mme. Zorzi has made and continues to make a lasting impact on my son, my family, and the school community.”
