Celebrating Staff LogoEvery week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student, or colleague.

This week we are celebrating Allison Boggs and Kaylin Marmara.

Allison is a teacher at St. Michael the Archangel Allison Boggs Catholic School. She was nominated by parents, who said:

“My son has ADD and has a hard time staying focused in class so it affects his overall performance in the classroom. Ms. Boggs has taken the time to speak with Sebastian and get to know him and adapt her teaching style to accommodate his needs. She is always friendly and kind and has a great sense of humour. Thank you Ms. Boggs for all your help and suggestions, my son truly appreciates it and speaks very highly of you.”

Kaylin MarmaraKaylin is a special education resource teacher at St. Paul’s Catholic School. She was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“Mrs. Marmara is someone who is always there for my boys and my oldest son has admired her since Grade 1. My oldest son is very comfortable around her and knows he can talk to her whenever he needs to take that break. I truly believe she knows how to take the time to talk to him and really knows how to get to know her students on a personal level. St. Paul's school is very lucky to have teachers like her who still exist and want what is best for the students. She will always hold a special place in the hearts of my boys (especially our oldest) and in our hearts as a family.”

We would like to thank Allison and Kaylin for their commitment to their students and to Catholic education at our board.
