Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.

This week we are celebrating Denise Corriveau and Rosa Volpe.

Denise Corriveau

Denise is a teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in Elmvale. She was nominated by a colleague, who said:

Denise is such a wonderful colleague and mentor. As a first year teacher, I find myself going to her for advice and critical feedback consistently. Denise is honest and passionate about education which is evidenced in her role as a classroom teacher, advocate for special education, union representative, and mentor. Denise epitomizes the lifelong journey that is Catholic education, in her commitment to students, families, former students, colleagues, and the entire OLL community.”

rosa volpeRosa Volpe is a Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE) at St. Jean de Brébeuf Catholic School in Bradford. She was nominated by a colleague, who said:

I had the privilege of working alongside of Mrs. Volpe in an incredible Kindergarten classroom. Mrs. Volpe’s positivity and energy was contagious! She made me feel so welcomed in their classroom and taught me so much in the hours we spent together.  Any child in her classroom is lucky.

Thank you Mrs. Volpe. We need more people on Earth like you! :)

We would like to thank Denise and Rosa for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
