Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.

This week we are celebrating Ginetta Marinelli and Heather Long.

Ginetta Marinelli is an educational assistant at Monsignor J.E. Ronan 

Catholic School in Beeton. She was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“Ginetta is a tremendous assistant in my French classes. The students with whom she works are encouraged to speak to me in French whenever they see me. She takes the time to find resources to enable the students to participate at their level in French. I know that working with Ginetta has enriched the students' educational experience.”

Heather Long is an occasional teacher at SMCDSB. She was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“Heather is phenomenal at her job and getting her students interested in what they are learning.  She makes every student feel welcomed and like they can succeed at what they are doing. She is that teacher that as a parent I pray my children will one day have. She's interactive and fun with her method of teaching and a rare gem that we have been blessed with here at St Dom's. She has a gentle discipline that keeps her class in order with a high respect from the students.  She is the teacher that goes above and beyond all expectations. So happy to have had the chance to work with her!”
