As the result of a resignation, there is currently a vacancy on the Board of Trustees, Ward 1 (City of Barrie wards 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) of the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board. The Board of Trustees has voted to fill this vacancy by engaging in a process to select and appoint a qualified candidate. 

Eligible candidates will be interviewed and a new Catholic trustee will be selected by a majority vote by the Board of Trustees no later than the regular board meeting scheduled for May 15, 2019. We encourage interested and qualified members of our Catholic community to consider this important governance role. We look forward to continuing a strong partnership with our parish community as we work together to further the the goals of Catholic education in the province of Ontario.
