Once again this year, we received an outstanding amount of student artwork for our annual Christmas card. It was a tremendously difficult decision as we received hundreds of submissions from numerous schools and grade levels. We had several exceptional nominations that perfectly demonstrated the importance of faith and the spirit of Christmas, while showcasing the amazing talent of our students.
We are proud to announce that the 2017 Christmas Card Artwork winner is Ethan Sanders, a Grade 11 student from Jean Vanier Catholic High School in Collingwood. His creative use of Oh, Holy Night sheet music with his painting of the manger scene is a beautiful representation of the true meaning and spirit of Christmas. His artwork will be featured as the cover of this year’s Christmas card and will be sent out and viewed by colleagues and partners in Catholic and public education in Ontario, as well as our Premier and Prime Minister.
Please join us in congratulating Ethan and all of the other students who submitted their wonderful artwork. These students not only show exceptional artistic abilities, but a great understanding of the importance of faith in the spirit of the Christmas season. We thank all participants for sharing their artwork with us.
