MARCH 3, 2016 - COLLINGWOOD, ON: A $3.1 million renovation is now complete at Jean Vanier Catholic High School in Collingwood. Highlights of this renovation include new learning spaces for cosmetology, dance and drama, and small engines. Upgraded program spaces for special education, hospitality, communications technology and fitness training are also part of this renovation.

Principal Natalie Zyla is delighted about the changes at her school. "High school students today have an incredible array of diverse interests and skills. A renovation like this allows us to meet the requirements of so many students. We can foster the needs of those who have a clear direction of where they want to be after high school, as well as inspire students who may still be wondering. Unique classrooms offer us unique learning opportunities."

Jean Vanier Catholic High School opened its doors to the Collingwood community in 1996. In 2005, 10 classrooms (18,837 square feet) were added to the school to accommodate the increase in enrolment. Now, ten years later, the school's recent renovation makes it an attractive place for many students to learn and grow after grade eight. Everyone is welcome at Jean Vanier Catholic High School.
