“We are pleased to welcome back many of our experienced trustees following the election, as well as two new faces to the board table,” said Brian Beal, Director of Education. “The commitment and service that trustees bring to their role, helps all staff provide meaningful, faith-filled learning for our students.”
The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board would like to thank retiring trustees Shawn Cooper and Connie Positano for their years of service and to all candidates who campaigned to be stewards for Catholic education.
The trustees will serve a term of four years, beginning December 5, 2018 at the inaugural Board meeting. The newly developed Board of Trustees will also be joined by this year’s student trustee, Anna Szumska. The Board has a current enrollment of over 22,000 students in 41 elementary schools and 9 secondary schools.
