Jesus our friend and our model,
too often there are fights in our human family,
and we do not love each other the way you want us to.
We know that in many parts of our world,
people need your gifts of peace, respect and understanding today.
We think about countries like the Holy Land, Sudan, Ukraine and Armenia,
where people are suffering because of fighting,
and we ask you to bless them with the peace and healing they need.
Help us to love others and treat them with kindness,
in our words and actions, today and every day.
We love you, Lord Jesus, and we pray in your name.
