Celebrating Staff LogoEvery week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.

This week we are celebrating Tara Treash, a teacher at Tara Treash Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School. Tara was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“Mrs. Treash is an exemplary Catholic teacher. It is noticeable that she cares as much about the spiritual, physical, mental, and academic well-being of students as she does about delivering an engaging curriculum from a Catholic perspective. Mrs. Treash infuses the Gospel values into all of her lessons thereby providing students with a unique Catholic lens on the subject matter. Her weekly communication with parents strengthens the bond between school and home, providing parents with a unique glimpse into the lessons delivered each week. We are so grateful for Mrs. Treash.”

This week we are also celebrating the Educational Assistants at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic School. The picture does not reflect the entire team. The team is made up by Amanda Archibald, Krista Baldwick,Vera da Silva, Courtney Densmore, Pam Fisher, Alisha Geniole, Lizzet Martinez, Sharon O'Neil, Michelle Quinney, Cathy St. John, Beata Stypulkowski and Kasia Warelis. The Educational Assistant team was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“The Educational Assistant team at St. Gabriel's is amazing! They work together and seamlessly to support the students and each other. They have many different personalities and strengths and fit together and run like a well oiled machine. When they are not directly supporting their students they choose to share their talents in making the school a better place by doing such things as helping to install our sensory path, decorating the hallways and contributing to a positive school climate. The school is a better place because of this team of 12 ladies. We are truly blessed to have their unwavering support within our school community. These wonderful ladies are truly St. Gabriel's angels!”

We would like to thank Tara and the EAs at St. Gabriel the Archangel for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
