Community Says Farewell to St. Charles Building

Community Says Farewell to St. Charles Building
Posted on 06/17/2022

This September, the St. Charles community will be moving into a new school building for the 2022-23 school year. Before they do, the school made sure to say farewell to the building that served so many for so long.

On May 30th, close to 300 current and former staff, families and students travelled from as far as Ottawa to attend the St. Charles Open House Evening. Director of Education Frances Bagley, Board Chair Joe Zerdin and Trustee Janice Hutchison also joined in the festivities.

Father John from Holy Martyrs of Japan Parish provided a wonderful prayer and blessed the building to start the evening.

People mingled and reminisced about all the wonderful memories this very special school and building held for them. Groups of former grads were seen hugging and catching up with former staff, taking pictures together to commemorate the evening.  Guests enjoyed seeing the photos, awards and other memorabilia - celebrating years of Catholic education.

We would like to thank everyone for attending and making the final farewell such a special one.
