Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.

This week we are celebrating Jacqueline Beith and Margaret Ellis.

Jacqueline is the Manager of    Educational Assistant Services at Academic Services. She was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“Jacqueline is an incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated colleague who puts 110% into everything she does. Whether you need advice on how to better support a student with high needs, or how to respond to staff questions or concerns, Jacqueline is there to help. Although she looks after all the schools, she is always willing to come for a visit to either observe students or to meet with staff. Her emails and reports are extremely detailed and filled with practical tips, suggestions and links to a variety of resources, many of which she has gathered and organized herself. I feel blessed to have an opportunity to work with you, Jacqueline, and I can't thank you enough for your outstanding support.”

Margaret is a Librarian at St. Angela Merici Catholic School. She was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“Besides being a fantastic and fun librarian that really knows how to instill in children a love for books, Margaret is kind and welcoming to everyone around her. Her caring nature, dedication and understanding of children makes her an excellent librarian and wonderful coworker. She demonstrates a genuine interest in others and she’s always ready to help anyone in need.”
