Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.

This week we are celebrating Bridget Savoie and Felix Donker.

Bridget is an Educational Assistant at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School. She was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“Bridget is an extraordinary Educational Assistant. She is a team player, a huge role model within the school community, and is well known for being kind, compassionate, caring, respectful, and positive. Bridget takes the time to familiarize herself with the students’ interests, strengths, and abilities. Bridget uses praise and positive reinforcement frequently throughout the day to make each student feel good about their accomplishments. We are so lucky, and so incredibly grateful to have Bridget on our team.”

Felix is a Teacher at Father F. X. O' Reilly Catholic School. He was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“Felix always comes to school with a smile on his face, eager to greet students, staff and parents. He is often found in the gym or outside on the field, coaching and organizing intramurals for the students. Felix often gives up his lunches and free time to ensure that students have lots of activities to do during nutrition breaks.  Felix truly demonstrates what it means to live our faith each day with love, generosity and joy.”
