Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.
This week we are celebrating Tina Cercone and Sherry Chambers.
Tina is a SERT at St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School.
She was nominated by a parent who said:
“Our son transitioned to high school this September. As an identified student on the ASD spectrum, we had significant concerns about his transition. The staff at JOA have been phenomenal in assisting both our son and us with high school. He is thriving and doing better than we imagined. We are grateful to all the staff who have taken the time to work with our son, push him, answer our questions, and create a positive environment. Ms.Cercone has been our lifeline and co-ordinated everyone and we are so very grateful! Ms. Timpano has also been instrumental in helping select his courses and of course, his teachers have been outstanding. (Mr. Pitt, Miss Kelly, Mr. Coccimiglio, Mr. Taylor, Ms. Bono, Mr. Chalykoff and Mr. Janveau) Well done JOA! Our son will make you all proud!"
Sherry is the Administrative Assistant Custodial Services. She was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Sherry is the most amazing lady that I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with. She is always friendly out going and ready to assist any of us who call and reach out to her. If we need anything for our schools Sherry is the lady who all Lead Custodians go to for help or if we have questions that she can help us with. I believe Sherry needs to be recognized for all her hard work and dedication to all the Custodians in this School Board. Thank you Sherry for everything.”
We would like to thank Tina and Sherry for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
