Celebrating Staff LogoEvery week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student, or colleague.

This week we are celebrating Anne Arthur and Lisa Emons.

Anne is a teacher at Holy Family Catholic School. SheAnne Arthur was nominated by a parent who said:

“Anne Arthur is one of the many reasons Holy Family is such a special place to be. She is hardworking and patient. She quietly offers help and support to students and teachers. Her passion for teaching and helping students find their voice is amazing. She runs many clubs and events such as PALS, computer clubs and sits on the Parent Council so that the staff's voice can be heard. Anne is always willing to lend a hand to staff or students in getting projects off the ground and ensuring their success. Holy Family hums with many happy students and staff because of Anne's seemingly tireless dedication to their success.”

We are also celebrating Lisa Emons. Lisa is a teacher at Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School. She was nominated by a parent who said:

Lisa Emons“Lisa genuinely offers to be and has definitely been very helpful in facilitating a successful school year for my granddaughter who has some challenges with attention and self-regulation. Miss Emons would regularly touch base with her asking if there was some way she could be of help. This is important as the kids who need help don’t always feel confident enough to reach out when they should.”

We would like to thank Anne and Lisa for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
