When a five year old boy starts fundraising for charity, you know the future is bright! Keenan Webber from Holy Family Catholic School in Alliston was recently recognized for his outstanding contributions to his community.
Last month, the Grade 1 student started his very own lemonade stand and raised over $250 for Matthews House Hospice in Alliston. The organization posted a “thank you” on their Facebook Page after Keenan came in to donate the funds, which caught the attention of community members and Town of New Tecumseth Councillor Michael Beattie.
Councillor Beattie was so impressed with Keenan’s efforts, he invited him to the council meeting on October 7, 2019 and presented him with a certificate of thanks for his service from the Town of New Tecumseth.

Congratulations Keenan! We are so proud of you.
