On Thursday, January 19, board office staff were joined by six volunteers from Simcoe Community Services to help assemble over 1,000 Kindergarten packages that will be distributed to our schools next week.
Ashley, Kevin, Patrick and Kelly were accompanied by their supportworkers and were eager to get to work. Whether it was stuffing the bags or organizing the materials, everyone was “in the zone” and worked through the entire day until we were finished. It was anticipated that we would need two days to complete the packages but thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, we managed to get all of the Kindergarten bags done in one day.
We would like to thank our amazing volunteers from Simcoe Community Services for joining us for the day and for helping expedite such a large project.
