Biography

In November 2020, the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board (SMCDSB) welcomed Frances Bagley as Director of Education and Secretary-Treasurer. 

Director Bagley joined SMCDSB after 35 years in Catholic education with the York Catholic District School Board. She began her career as an educational assistant in 1984 and held many positions over the years including teacher, vice-principal, principal, superintendent and Associate Director of Education: Strategic Leadership.

Not only has she immersed herself in a career in Catholic education, her family have also grown up in a faith-filled environment. Her children all graduated with a Catholic education, and her grandchildren are currently learning in the system as well.

It is our pleasure to have Director Frances Bagley guide and serve the staff, students and families of the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board.
