Provincial Testing
Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO)

Every year, students across Ontario are required by the provincial government to complete tests aimed at assessing literacy and numeracy skills.Testing of reading, writing and mathematics takes place in Grades 3 and 6.  In high school, students are required to complete a Grade 9 assessment of mathematics as well as the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT).
