A Grade 12 student at Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School has set an impressive milestone by becoming the first student from her school to complete the internationally recognized DELF (Diplôme d'études en langue française) exam.
Hannah Eastcott completed the exam, joining thousands of students from around the globe in pursuing this achievement. This certification, awarded by the French Ministry of National Education, is recognized worldwide. Earning this diploma opens up career and post-secondary opportunities, especially in competitive fields where bilingualism is an asset.
Hannah was among a small group of students across our board to participate in the DELF exam this fall. Last spring, 50 candidates wrote the exam, and even greater involvement is anticipated at the next session in the spring.
We are proud to see our students participating in meaningful initiatives like this and pursuing opportunities to grow their skills. Our best wishes go out to Hannah and all the DELF writers as they await their results!
