Celebrating Staff LogoEvery week, we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who a parent, student, or colleague recognizes.

This week, we celebrate Madonna Dwyer, a designated Madonna Dwyer early childhood educator (DECE) at Holy Cross Catholic School. Madonna was nominated by a colleague who said:

“Madonna Dwyer is a dedicated, fun-loving part of our Holy Cross team. She volunteers her time and is committed to keeping our school grounds looking beautiful. Madonna initiated our school's gardening club, which she has been running for 9 years. She works tirelessly with the students to beautify and upkeep the gardens at the front of our school. She strives to ensure each child leaves with a smile on their face. The students value her leadership while learning from her how to care for God’s creations. Thank you, Madonna, for all your hard work and dedication. You are a pivotal part of our Holy Cross team.”

Danielle HillThis week, we also celebrate Danielle Hill, a school office administrator at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School. Danielle was nominated by a colleague who said:

“Ms. Hill is usually the first face you see upon entering, the voice you hear when calling St. Peter the Apostle School. She makes everyone feel welcome. She is a crucial member of the school family, and she goes above and beyond her already busy role as Office Administrator to serve others. If students are hungry or injured, Ms. Hill is there to provide them with healthy snacks, first aid, and a listening ear. She is a supportive and loving colleague. Her hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. On a rare day when Ms. Hill is absent from work, her absence is noticeable; many miss her, and they express as much. Keep up the amazing work, Ms. Hill!”

We would like to thank Madonna and Danielle for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
