Celebrating Staff LogoEvery week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.

This week we are celebrating Christopher Bell, a teacher Chris Bell at St. John Vianney Catholic School. Christopher was nominated by a colleague who said:

“Chris Bell is the heartbeat of our St. John Vianney! From organizing Fall Fun Fairs, Halloween and Mardis Gras Dances, Coins from Heaven, and coaching volleyball, Chris encompasses everything that is SJV spirit! With every season that arrives, you will always see Chris coming up with fun and exciting activities for our school community. Chris always has the best interest of the entire school community in all that he plans. A huge reason that SJV is an amazing place to learn, work and play, is because of you, Chris! Thank you for the countless hours that you give. Lightning on 3!”

Tara VanderlooThis week we are also celebrating Tara Vanderloo, a teacher at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School. Tara was nominated by a colleague who said:

“Tara is a phenomenal teacher. Her level of caring for her students is beyond reproach. She is a remarkable teacher and mentor to all the children in her class, year after year. Tara is a loving, caring, and dedicated teacher! She creates a school environment where children feel safe, happy, and loved. Tara encourages creativity, curiosity, and independence. She provides her students with a kindergarten experience that will encourage a love of learning as they grow. No wonder she is sought after by parents of new kindergarten students!”

We would like to thank Christopher and Tara for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
