Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who a parent, student or colleague has recognized.
This week, we celebrate Chiara Furlano, Alessia Masella,
and Sonia Perisic, St. Cecilia Catholic School teachers. Chiara, Alessia, and Sonia were nominated by a colleague who said:
“The Grade 3 Team at St. Cecilia continues to prove their dedication to our students. They collaborate well with one another, always have their students’ best interests in mind, and make learning fun and engaging for all. Their classrooms are filled with respect and dedication that help nurture our students. We are blessed to have such an incredible group of educators who continue to go above and beyond! Their dedication and passion for teaching are truly inspiring. Thank you for making a difference in our students' lives.”
This week, we also celebrate Darcie Berry, a teacher at St. Marie of the Incarnation Catholic School. Darcie was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Ms. Berry goes above and beyond for her students, not only this term but every term. She wholeheartedly teaches with enthusiasm, commitment, and sincerity.
The students in her class soar with self-confidence, and their abilities shine throughout school and home!
As an educational assistant and as a parent, I have seen my daughter's growth in confidence, academic excellence, and interests to be her best self shine this year!
There are not enough words to describe Ms. Berry and how grateful I am as a parent and as an educational assistant to see her class blossom into who they are meant to be!
We are forever grateful to have you as a forever Mustang!!! Keep shining, Ms. Berry!”
