Want to learn a new language? Registration for the 2025-2026 International and Indigenous Languages Elementary (IILE) Program is now open! 

Students in Kindergarten to Grade 8 from all school boards can register to learn Spanish, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Tagalog, Ukrainian, Arabic, Korean and Russian. And the best part? It’s FREE!

Studies show that children who learn a second language develop the tools to be more successful in their education. Starting early also improves the child’s ability to become more confident carrying the new language into their future.

The program runs from September 27, 2025 to May 9, 2026 on Saturday mornings, from 9 - 11:30 a.m. Please note that classes are conducted virtually with synchronous instruction. Students must have their own device and access to the internet in order to participate. Space is limited.
