The theme for Catholic Education Week 2025, Pilgrims of Hope, drawn from the Holy Jubilee year, invites us to journey together in faith, hope, and love, trusting in the promise of Christ’s presence and action among us. Regardless of our position or our responsibilities, it is a calling to bring the message of Jesus Christ into the lives of those who we are privileged to serve in the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board.
There will be many opportunities this year as we celebrate Catholic Education Week to recognize the many blessings that the gift of Catholic education affords each of us. During this week, it is fitting to express my thanks and gratitude to the people who work collaboratively and collectively to provide our staff and students with a strong, vibrant workplace and faith-based education in a safe and caring environment. Each day this week, I am honoured to express my appreciation in the form of “thanks” to all those who play an integral role in the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board family.
Central office staff are an integral part of our operations. Your dedication to each of your roles, whether it be in supporting our facilities, central business operations or providing academic support to schools, is integral to the growth and success of Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board.
Behind the scenes central staff manage to juggle numerous responsibilities, initiatives and projects with dedication and commitment to the mission and vision of SMCDSB. The concerted efforts of our central staff fosters a faith-filled environment where students are nurtured and encouraged to become who they are meant to be spiritually, academically, physically, socially and emotionally as contributing members of our global society. Thank you for contributing to our exceptional working and learning experience at Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board.
