Program Cover Pic“One word sums up the priesthood: Love. Not the flawed love of human beings. Priests are humans like the rest of us. I’m talking about the Love that created space and time, hung on a cross, rose from the dead, promised that he’d never leave us, and who reaches out to the world today, through the hands of his priests.” (Excerpt from Real Life Catholic - YouTube Channel)

On Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Holy Family Church in Toronto, Christopher Thiên Ý Huỳnh, a 2010 graduate of St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School in Barrie, was surrounded by the love of his family and friends, and by the love of God, as he was ordained to the priesthood.

After graduating from St. Joan of Arc, Christopher went on to study honours physics at McMaster University, and then philosophy and theology at The Toronto Oratory.

The ceremony, presided over by His Eminence Cardinal Thomas Collins, was live streamed on YouTube and the faithful were invited to tune in. Cardinal Collins encouraged the two new priests to become heroic witnesses, ambassadors of Christ, and to walk humbly with God.

As a community of faith, let us offer our best wishes and prayers for Father Christopher as he continues on his journey with God.
