Celebrating Staff LogoEvery week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.

This week we are celebrating Paula Madden and Deb Tacy.

Paula is a teacher at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School. She was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“Paula truly exemplifies the role of a Catholic Paula Madden educator. She works to create a thoughtful and supportive learning community through her teaching, her mentoring of new teachers, her coaching of many sports and by leading many, many events within the school. From the classroom, to the gym, to the school yard, she leads with a positive presence that encourages her students to grow to the best of their abilities. She truly is a gem and a gift to the staff, students and community of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School in Parry Sound.”

Deb TacyDeb is a day treatment teacher at St. Nicholas Catholic School. She was nominated by colleagues, who said:

“Deb has been in our class for a short period of time. During this time she has been soaking in all the information given to her. She has been very receptive to how our program is run, learning our students' needs, receiving our feedback and all the other aspects of our specialized program. She shows her kind spirit, and warm nature to our students by greeting them in the mornings when they arrive. We welcome her, and look forward to growing as a team.”

We would like to thank Deb and Paula for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
