Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student, or colleague.
This week we are celebrating Annalisa Varano, Mauro Porco, Siobhain Millen, and Mike Quinn. This team of Principals and Vice Principals was nominated by a colleague who said:
“This incredible team started our Virtual School with no staff, no precedents, and no board or provincial experience to rely on for guidance. In the space of a few days they created brand new (virtual) schools, enrolled over 4500 students, hired hundreds of teachers, and implemented a new way of learning that is the gold standard for remote delivery. The success of the Virtual Schools is a testament to their outstanding leadership, innovativeness, creativity and old-fashioned hard work. They truly deserve the appreciation and applause of the SMCDSB community.”
