Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student, or colleague.
This week we are celebrating Leora Tracy and Olinka
Cowan. Leora is a teacher and Olinka is a DECE at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School. They were nominated by a colleague who said:
“I want to nominate these amazing ladies who go above and beyond collaborating in an amazing, creative, and active learning environment. They work amazingly well planning a full day of growth, independence and love in their classroom and during their outdoor learning. We are truly blessed to have this
amazing team at our school. Keep up the amazing work ladies. I'm so proud of you both and thankful to have you both at our school!”
This week we are also celebrating Leah Smith. Leah is the principal at St. Bernard’s Catholic School. She was nominated by a parent who said:
“Mrs. Smith is a wonderful person. She cares for all the
students within her school. She is an amazing leader. She makes the environment within the school happy, fun and respectful. Students feel they can go to her with any concerns. She is always cheering for their accomplishment.”
We would like to thank Leora, Olinka, and Leah for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
