Local Schools and Parishes Create a Journey to Christmas

Local Schools and Parishes Create a Journey to Christmas
Posted on 01/13/2021

Last month, four local Catholic schools and three parishes in the Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and Stayner areas collaborated on a special project - a drive-by “Journey to Christmas.”

With the help of generous volunteers, seven beautiful stations were created for residents to enjoy at their own pace from December 19 to January 6. The journey began at St. Mary's Church in Collingwood and ended at St. Patrick's Church in Stayner. Each station was set up with a scene and included a bible reading, reflection, prayer and music, available on the Journey to Christmas website.

We would like to thank the following schools and parishes for their participation:

  • St. Mary's Catholic School, Collingwood

  • St. Noel Chabanel Catholic School, Wasaga Beach

  • Our Lady of the Bay Catholic High School, Collingwood

  • École Notre-Dame-de-la-Huronie, Collingwood

  • St. Mary's Church, Collingwood

  • St. Patrick's Church, Stayner

  • St. Noel Chabanel Church, Wasaga Beach

Thank you to everyone who put this wonderful initiative together. The project was a great way for our local parishes and schools to work together and share the story of Christmas during difficult times.
