Halloween is always a spooky time of year at Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School in Orillia. Pennywise, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Spider-Man, Monsters Inc., holy cows, deviled eggs, and even a giant inflatable baby were among the students in the cobweb-covered halls on Halloween.

All homeroom classes went above and beyond in decorating cupcakes for homeroom points. All classes submitted their cupcakes into the competition by taking a picture and posting it on Twitter to @PFcouncil, where you can see all the submissions. Mrs. Osburn’s class took the win, decorating their cupcakes to look like red balloons that spelled out: “You’ll float too.”

Competitions for individual and group costumes took place during second period and of course, Donald Trump won the vote from Student Council, but there are rumours of someone fudging the votes, and many are asking for an impeachment. A group of girls won group costume honours as Monsters Inc. characters.

The school cafeteria got into the spirit and sold funky fries, pukey poutine, ogre onion rings, and creepy cheesy bread to satisfy sugar crazy students. Principal Mrs. Healy was a very enthusiastic Cat in the Hat, while office staff were Thing 1, 2, 3, and 4. Overall, Halloween was spooktacular at Patrick Fogarty!
