Students at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School in Tottenham (STS) are looking forward to some rest and relaxation after the stress of studying and writing exams. Semester 2 offers new chances to improve grades and organise time and efforts more effectively. The fresh start also means new opportunities to join more clubs, teams or sports and get involved. What tweaks your interest this semester? Don’t be shy, give it a try! You might learn something new, discover a great hobby, or make a lifelong friend.

While there is definitely a lot to look forward to in the coming months, it is also a great time to reflect on the semester that just ended. Many students have noticed both spiritual and mental growth at St. Thomas Aquinas. Our school community has never been closer, as many students become involved in various activities and events.

Our school did a lot this past semester that deserves honourable mention. We raised funds for families in need in our own community through advent families, collected food on Halloween for the Halloween for Hunger event, and we hosted a food drive for our local food bank. Our student council raised the bar for school spirit through events such as Halloweek, Homecoming and other fun things around the school. Our clubs and sports teams have been doing well and are excelling at competitions by working together and being passionate about what they do. Because of amazing school spirit and strong anti-bullying campaigns our school’s past is bright, but the future is even brighter.
