On November 2, 2016 students, parents, and employers will be taking part in The Learning Partnership’s (TLP) annual Take Our Kids to Work Program. Grade 9 students from across Simcoe County and the Districts of Muskoka and Parry Sound will head into the workplace of parents, friends and relatives to gain a first-hand look into the world of work.
By hosting students at your workplace, you will help shape post-secondary aspirations and give young individuals a greater understanding of the connection between education and future career paths. Participating students are able to broaden their knowledge of the opportunities available and determine what they like and don’t like about a typical work day.
Employers who register online to participate in the Take Our Kids to Work Program will be featured on the TLP website and become eligible to apply for the Canada’s Outstanding Employers Award.
