On November 10th, 1,800 people from across the province of Ontario attended the prestigious Cardinal’s Dinner in Toronto to celebrate our Catholic communities. One of the attendees was our very own Anjelique Croteau from St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Barrie. Anjelique was asked to sing the national anthem at the 37th annual event and stunned everyone with her amazing voice.

The Grade 10 student has been singing since the age of five and has been involved in talent shows and musical theatre for several years. She is an avid performer and loves public speaking, acting and of course, singing. She has appeared in 14 local plays with favourite roles of Ursula in Little Mermaid, the Wicked Witch in Wizard of Oz and ensemble in Les Miserables.

Anjelique currently belongs to the junior and senior band at St. Joseph’s and plays trumpet which she enjoys very much and has been singing in the youth choir at St Mary's Church for the past year.

Congratulations to Anjelique on this amazing honour, and we look forward to seeing what other opportunities her talent will bring.
