Want to make a difference in our Catholic schools? Consider becoming a Catholic school trustee.


Our Catholic trustees are persons of faith who have a passion and commitment for the success of Catholic education. They help develop complex programs, policies and procedures that guide the Board in its operation and establish budgets for the Board to operate within.


Are you up for the task?


The next municipal and school board election is on October 22, 2018. Nominations are open from May 1, 2018 to July 27, 2018.

Attend our upcoming candidate information session on May 28, 2018 for information about Catholic education, the role of Catholic trustees at our Board, the election protocol and much more. 


According to the Education Act, you must hold and retain the following qualifications in order to run as a candidate:


  • A Canadian citizen

  • A Roman Catholic

  • 18 years of age or older

  • A resident within the jurisdiction of the Board

  • Must be a supporter of the Board – visit Voterlookup.ca

  • Not an employee of any district school board or school authority in Ontario

  • Cannot be a clerk, deputy clerk, treasurer or deputy treasurer of a municipality within the jurisdiction of the Board

  • Cannot be a Senator, MP or MPP

  • Cannot otherwise be disqualified from office
