Accelerative Integrated Method (AIM)

Many of our schools have adopted AIM as a way to teach French as a second language to our elementary students.

This method of teaching uses gestures, drama and music to help the children gain oral fluency. AIM is an intensive method that allows students to grasp the oral language quicker than traditional methods.

French words are taught to the students in a visual way - using gestures, stories and drama. The benefit of this approach is thatchildren don't just hear the word, they also learn to see and feel thelanguage. In essence, the language becomes more memorable to the children because words are constantly associated with a very strong‘emotional hook’. This emotional component ensures that vocabulary is deeply embedded.
