Choosing a Catholic School

We are committed to providing students with an exceptional faith-filled education when they attend one of our Catholic schools. We are a community bound together by our faith – a community focused on enhancing your educational and spiritual development, by providing excellent programs, resources and support to help you reach your future goals and aspirations.

When you choose a Catholic school you will have the opportunity to grow in faith and knowledge, to participate in the many, varied aspects of your community, make some great friends and to gain valuable, rewarding life experiences.

Enrolling Your Child in High School

Students are not required to be Catholic to be enrolled in our secondary schools and therefore, proof of Catholic baptism is not required. Non-catholic students attending any of our high schools must respect the rites and practices of the Catholic school system.

Please take a look at the School Directory link to see the schools located in your area and refer to the boundary maps to determine which Catholic school your child should be attending.

Parents or guardians of Canadian citizens or permanent residents (landed immigrants) will be required to register their child in person at the school.

You will require the following documents for your child for registration:

  • Proof of age (birth certificate)

  • Parent or child's Roman Catholic baptismal certificate (discuss criteria for exemption with your school's superintendent)

  • Updated immunization records

  • Proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status

  • Proof of address

  • Tax assessment form showing separate school support

  • Educational records, if available
