Another Successful Terry Fox Run for SMCDSB

With another school year, comes another successful Terry Fox Run. Schools in the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board (SMCDSB) continue to support the Marathon of Hope that began 39 years ago. The 2018 Terry Fox Run at SMCDSB had 47 schools participate and raised an incredible total of $75,590 for cancer research.

Over the years, our schools continue to impress us with their dedication to helping others. St. James Catholic School in Colgan was this year’s top fundraiser with a total of $4,500.55. St. John Paul II Catholic School in Barrie participated in their 26th Terry Fox Run - the most of all our schools, and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School in Tottenham has raised an amazing total of $104,644 to date. The total funds raised over the years by all SMCDSB schools is $1,281,022. This is an incredible accomplishment!

The continued participation from our schools has helped fund over 1,200 cancer research projects across Canada. We thank all of our schools, and look forward to your participation in 2019!
